O Black History Month está quase chegando ao fim. Entretanto, há alguns minutos atrás recebi um presente via Facebook de meu amigo Charles Townsend: um link para fotos históricas do fotógrafo Charles "Teenie" Harris (1908-1988). O acervo conta com mais de 80.000 imagens e pertence ao Carnegie Museum of Art localizado em Pittsburgh, PA. Até 7 de abril desse ano ocorrerá por lá a exibição Teenie Harris, Photographer: An American Story. O fotográfo ganhou o apelido "teenie" devido ao formato de suas fotos. Teenie é derivativo de teeny que em português significa informal. "Teenie" Harris fazia suas fotos apenas num take, tentando absorver ao máximo a informalidade e desconstração do/as fotografado/as. Confira abaixo algumas imagens. Não vou colocar legenda nas fotos com o nome das celebridades por preguiça e para a brincadeira de descobrir quem é ficar mais divertida.
